Overview
Established in 1947, the Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital developed by leaps and bounds for more than 70 years. The nursing team has grown from less than 40 to 744. There are currently 2 doctoral supervisor,3 master supervisors, 3 doctors, 23 masters, 2 doctoral candidates,15 master candidates, 67 intermediate titles and 6 senior titles; In the past 5 years, nursing team successfully applied for 17 scientific research projects at the bureau level and above, with a total fund of 2.48 million yuan; Team members held 31 positions in professional societies, published 104 nursing academic papers, and applied for 77 patents.

II. Nursing Management Team

Nursing Quality Control Committee
To improve the quality of care and management, the Nursing Department of our hospital has formed a three-level network: the Nursing Quality Control Committee, the Two Hospital Area Head Nurses, and the Quality Controller. Taking the top ten safety goals of patients as the main line, through monthly, quarterly, quality control inspection, mutual inspection, and timely discovery of problems, from the initial quality, link quality, and final quality to continuously monitor the quality of care, and using scientific management methods to achieve continuous improvement of care quality and the two hospital areas homogenization management

Nursing Safety Management Committee
In order to strengthen the safety management of nursing and maximize the safety of patients, our hospital established a nursing safety committee. The committee regularly conducts first-aid exercises for special events and illnesses to improve the clinical response capacity of nurses, analyzes and improves the problems existing in the exercises, strengthens the construction of the nursing safety system, summarizes the problems existing in clinical work and operation drills every month, analyzes the root cause, and solves them in time; advocates early prevention, early reporting, early treatment, and reporting of prevention and adverse events; and ensures the safety of nursing in the two hospital areas.

Nursing Research & Education Committee
The Research & Education Committee implements a three-level management system: Director of Nursing Department, General Teaching, and Teaching Team Leader. In terms of teaching, our hospital undertakes the clinical teaching tasks of junior college, undergraduate, postgraduate, and advanced nurses; In order to improve the quality of clinical nursing, the education group pays attention to pre-job training, standardized training for new nurses, newly recruited nurses, three basic and strict trainings, and post training. In the aspect of nursing research, the scientific research team selected by the scientific research team is managed by the scientific research team, and scientific research training is carried out regularly to improve the scientific research level of clinical nurses.

Nurse Committee
Established on January 13, 2016, with the tenet of “Serving Yourself, Happy Work”, the Nurse Committee has four departments: Warm Nest, Starter, Propaganda Group and Rongxin Group. Warm Nest is committed to solving the psychological problems of clinical nurses, and providing necessary crisis intervention for the nurses in difficulties; Rongxin Group focuses on the integration of new employees, helping new employees to successfully complete the role change; the starter focuses on the professional development of nurses to broaden the career development path of nurses; the propaganda group uses the WeChat platform of the "Nurse Committee" as a medium to showcase the work and life of nurse and release some practical information to facilitate the work and life of the nurses.

Nursing Information Management Committee
In order to make the nursing management work more scientific, promote the information management of nursing, and enrich and expand the concept of nursing services, the Nursing Department established the Nursing Information Committee in January 2018. The committee and the Information Section jointly developed the nursing information platform and further expanded and improved new functions based on the original information system. At present, the hospital has promoted mobile nursing PDAs, nursing management software, and a baby anti-theft system, fully realizing the politicization of nursing information. While improving nursing management, the safety and quality of clinical care are guaranteed.
