The dean of the Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital, the doctoral tutor, the committee member of the Gynecologic Oncology Branch of Chinese Medical Association, the famous Gynecologic Oncology expert who can get the special allowance of State Council. Dr. Wan is also the president of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Branch of the Maritime Medical Association, the president of the Gynecologic Oncology Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association, Shanghai Leading Talents and Shanghai Excellent Academic Leaders, the winner of Shanghai May 1st Labor Medal. 

Professor Wan has engaged in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic oncology (cervical, uterine and ovarian cancer) for many years. As we all know, Practice Makes Perfect, professor Wan has shortened the operation time for laparoscopic radical hysterectomy for cervical cancer from 3h to 2h which significantly reduces the surgical exposure time, intraoperative blood loss and postoperative morbidity, which has made him select as the “2017 Shanghai Artisan” representing the highest level of Shanghai technology. 

He has combined with a number of hospitals and improved the treatment mode of epithelial ovarian cancer which called as the kind of gynecological cancer, significantly improved the surgical clearance rate and five-year survival rate of advanced ovarian cancer, and therefore won the first prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award (2012). With the support of 8 National Natural Science Foundations, Dr. Wan is the first one in China to carry out the research on sentinel lymph node technique in laparoscopic staging of endometrial cancer, and significantly reduced the over-treatment in endometrial cancer surgery, and shortened the standard 2-hour surgery to 1 hour which makes the surgical complication rate decreases to almost zero. He has highly reputation among the patients. Professor Wan ranked the most popular one of the diagnosis and treatment of Endometrial cancer in the "Good Doctor" website in 2018.
