2022 Annual Science and Education Commendation Conference Successfully Held

Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital held its "2022 Annual Science and Education Commendation Conference" on April 26 in a testament to its 76 years of unwavering dedication and progress.

The hospital, guided by the principles of "rigor, diligence, innovation, and progress," has emphasized the integration of medical care, education, research, and talent development in recent years, achieving significant strides in its science and education efforts.

The event, attended by healthcare professionals and leaders, aimed to review accomplishments, consolidate experiences, and inspire the hospital's medical staff to contribute even more vigorously to the institution's high-quality development. 

Zhao Rong, deputy director of Shanghai Shenkang Hospital Development Center, Qu Jiayong, director of the talent affairs office of the Shanghai Science and Technology Committee, Wang Jianping, a senior researcher at the Science and Education Division of the Shanghai Health Commission, Zhang Xiaoqing, Party secretary of Tongji University School of Medicine, Zheng Jialin, dean of Tongji University School of Medicine, Ma Bin, deputy director of the Research Management Department at Tongji University, Kang Jiuhong, specially appointed professor and Party secretary of the School of Life Science and Technology at Tongji University, graced the occasion.

Hospital leadership, middle-level executives, award recipients and members of the science and education department were present at the conference, which was presided over by vice dean Jin Liping.

Wang Yu, president of Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital, delivered a welcoming speech, expressing gratitude for the continuous support and care extended by leaders at all levels. 

She congratulated the recognized individuals and encouraged the entire hospital staff to rise to new challenges and contribute to the institution's high-quality development by setting higher standards and exploring their potential.

Jin Liping presented an overview of the hospital's science and education accomplishments for the year 2022. She emphasized key aspects such as research projects, academic achievements, educational training, discipline platforms, and the completion status of major indicators. Jin Liping also outlined the plans for science and education work in 2023.

Leaders including Zhao Rong, Qu Jiayong, Wang Jianping, Zhang Xiaoqing, Zheng Jialin, and Ma Bin delivered speeches, extending warm congratulations on the fruitful science and education achievements of the hospital in 2022. They praised the active efforts of the clinical team and research management team and set higher expectations for the hospital's future development.
