1.Basic information of the department
Department structure:
The Pharmacy Department of Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital is composed of pharmacy management office, outpatient pharmacy, inpatient pharmacy, drug warehouse, clinical pharmacy room and other departments. It implements a three-level management system. Each department has a clear division of labor and close cooperation. Based on the hospital drug supply guarantee, it explores high-quality hospital pharmacy management and creates a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service system.
Personnel structure:
The pharmacy department currently has 46 employees, including 2 chief pharmacist and 2 deputy chief pharmacist, with a proportion of 43.48% holding intermediate and senior professional titles.

2.Department Business Distribution
(1)Pharmaceutical Management Office
Responsible for quality control and supervision of various departments' work, playing a backbone and leading role in clinical drug treatment work. Adhere to patient-centered and standardized management as the foundation, and effectively organize, implement and manage the entire process of clinical medication. At the same time, it also takes into account the daily management work during the recess of the Pharmaceutical Committee, including monitoring and evaluating the use of drugs in our hospital, analyzing and evaluating medication risks, etc.
(2)Outpatient pharmacy
Responsible for drug security and pharmaceutical services for clinical departments, outpatient and emergency patients in the hospital. In 2018, intelligent drug racks and automatic dispensing machines were introduced to achieve intelligent drug distribution and information management. In 2019, a dedicated window for traditional Chinese medicine formula granules was established, and at the same time, the business of decocting traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces was taken over for supervision and quality control. Online pharmaceutical service for internet hospitals was provided since 2020. We have successively won honors such as the "Quarterly Mobile Red Flag Post" of the hospital and the "Most Beautiful Service Window" of the hospital service season.
(3)Inpatient pharmacy
Responsible for the daily maintenance, quality assurance, and drug supply of drugs in hospital wards. This includes daily injection preparation, oral medication dispensing, discharge medication distribution, medication order review, unreasonable medication intervention, medication consultation, and other work. At the same time, responsible for the management of basic drugs in the ward, the requisition and distribution of drugs in the operating room pharmacy, the storage, distribution, and supervision of anesthesia drugs and vaccines. Received honors such as "Shanghai Excellent Service Demonstration Window".
(4)Drug warehouse
Mainly responsible for supplying and managing various drugs, hazardous chemicals, vaccines, disinfectants, etc. Additionally, responsible for narcotics prescription management, drug informatization setting, Internet drug storage management, public drugs and materials receiving and distribution, etc.
(5)Clinical pharmacy 
Clinical pharmacists stay in the clinic for half a day every day, undertake Clinical pharmacy services related to clinical rational drug use, actively participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, pharmaceutical consultations, and form a treatment team with doctors and nurses to develop personalized treatment plans for patients and provide professional pharmaceutical advice for clinical patients. Assist clinical physicians in controlling drug indicators such as antibacterial intensity and base drug use, and address issues related to clinical medication. In addition, responsible for prescription review, online reporting of antibacterial drug monitoring, and reporting of adverse drug reactions. At the same time, clinical pharmacy carry out characteristic pharmaceutical service projects such as "therapeutic drug monitoring" and "pregnancy and lactation pharmacy outpatient service", regularly release pharmaceutical science popularization, and provide full pharmaceutical services for personalized and precise medication of patients. Related work has been awarded the honor of "Innovative Service Brand" during the hospital service season.

3.Scientific and educational situation of the department
Research Academic:
In recent years, we have obtained over ten national and provincial level research projects, published over 30 SCI articles, and published two monographs.
Teacher guidance:
There is currently one doctoral supervisor, one master's supervisor, two doctoral students, and four master's students. In recent years, there have been over 100 substitute teaching interns.
Continuing education:
In recent years, several national level continuing education projects and Shanghai continuing education projects have been held, with students including obstetricians and pharmacists from all over the country. This has promoted the rational use of drugs in obstetrics and gynecology, and strengthened communication and exchange among experts from all over the country.
Business learning:
The department regularly organizes business learning, invites renowned medical and pharmaceutical experts from both inside and outside the hospital to exchange and learn on topics such as drug service, drug management, and drug use, encourages department personnel to give lectures, and continuously improves the professional ability and teaching level of department members.
