The Family Planning Department of Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital plays an important role in the family planning field in Shanghai. The department  receive nearly 100000 outpatients and performe nearly 20000 cases of family planning surgeries every year. Annual hospitalization cases is of over 5000. The department comprehensively carries out various types of family planning surgeries, such as artificial abortion, drug abortion,, removal of intrauterine devices, subcutaneous contraceptive implantation, sterilization surgery and fallopian tube recanalization surgery. At the same time, we provide treatment especially for multiple abortion complications such as arteriovenous fistula, postoperative uterine adhesions, and infertility. Significantly, we specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of various high-risk pregnancy such as cesarean scar pregnancy, cervical pregnancy, etc.
