Assisted Reproductive Medicine Department

Basic information:Our department carried out various assisted reproductive technologies, including IVF-ET, PGT, AIH/AID and ovulation induction treatment. Our department was characterized by helping elderly female patients, patients with poor ovarian reserve and patients with recurrent implantation failure. Pay attention to the development of personalized pregnancy preparation plans, provide convenience for patients in all aspects, and provide a "one-stop" medical service model. While emphasizing the quality of medical care, continuously pursue the refinement and humanization of medical services.

Subject talents:At present, there are 9 employees, including 3 senior professors and 1 deputy senior professor. The proportion of middle and senior professional titles is 66.7%; Among them, 9 have doctor’s degree, accounting for 100%.

Scientific research strength:We have got 10 scientific research projects, including 2 national projects and 6 provincial and ministerial projects, with a total research fund of 2.51 million RMB. 4 SCI papers were published, with a cumulative impact factor of 27.6

Teaching ability:There are 1 doctoral tutor, 2 master tutors, 4 doctoral candidates and 3 master candidates in our department throughout the year.


Department of Reproductive Endocrinology
 
The Department of Reproductive Endocrinology in the Center for Assisted Reproduction, Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital has accumulated wide ranging clinical experience in assisted reproductive treatments for reproductive endocrine diseases and infertility. 

Clinical services in the Department are organized into three distinct areas: 
(1) Assisted reproduction treatment for irregular menstruation and infertility caused by endocrine and metabolic diseases, including polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), premature ovarian insufficiency, diminished ovarian reserve, irregular menstruation, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, hyperprolactinemia, thyroid dysfunction, adrenal diseases, obesity, malnutrition, diabetes, metabolic syndrome and other diseases; 
(2) Assisted reproduction treatment for recurrent embryos implantation failure, including poor sperm and egg quality, poor embryo quality, thin and abnormal peristalsis of the endometrium; 
(3) Fertility evaluation and preservation, including ovarian tumor, breast cancer, lymphoma, leukemia and rheumatic immune diseases before chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

The Department is staffed by two chief physicians and one associate chief physician inclusive of one doctoral supervisor and two master supervisors affiliated with Tongji University. All have strong research and teaching abilities. 

In the past five years, 18 scientific papers have been published in journals included by the Science Citation Index (SCI) as the first author/corresponding author. In total, seven scientific research projects have been granted, with a total of 2.65 million yuan allocated in research funding. Among them, two projects have been supported by the National Natural Science Foundation. Moreover, seven students graduated with master level degrees. 

The Department provides one-stop diagnostic and treatment services for infertile patients with PCOS and obesity, including weight loss, ovulation monitoring, ovulation induction, artificial insemination, and assisted reproductive treatments. Personalized infertility diagnosis and treatment strategies have been developed with the goal of safety, efficiency and time saving. For couples preparing for pregnancy and patients with infertility, high-quality patient education, exercise, nutritional and psychological guidance are provided through a multidisciplinary approach as part of their management.
