Professor Wan Xiaoping from Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital has won the third prize of the 2022 Chinese Medical Science and Technology Awards.

The award was granted for the groundbreaking work led by Wan on fertility-sparing treatment strategies for endometrial cancer during the opening ceremony of the 2023 Chinese Medical Association Annual Meeting at the Beijing National Convention Center on November 26.

The ceremony recognized the winners of the nation’s top medical awards, including the distinguished project led by Wan's team.

The collaborative research, involving Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University, Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center and Shanghai General Hospital, is titled "New Strategies for Fertility-Sparing Treatment of Endometrial Cancer Based on New Pathogenesis Mechanisms."

Wan, as the representative of the award-winning team, took the stage to accept the honor.
